Sometimes the simplest things will do more for the health of our mouths than we realize.
For example, backyard gardening can indirectly be fantastic for your teeth.
If you aren’t aware already, calcium is essential for both strong teeth and healthy gums.
What’s a natural and abundant source of calcium? Many homegrown greens and vegetables.
The indirect connection is obviously some form of, “if they’re there, you’ll eat them”.
Here’s an extensive list of calcium rich vegetables you can grow right in your own yard, or a community/city garden if that’s your desired location.
You’re probably not growing seaweed out behind the garage, but soybeans, peppers, and beets may be doable.
Of course, the more natural the better, and if you’re inclined to want to know more, just email me and I’ll empty my base of knowledge on you. (For better or worse…there’s a lot to know…!)
